004KT – A Bright, Timeless Kitchen Transformation by Pacific Living Contracting
Kitchen Remodeling
2022
Vancouver, BC
This kitchen renovation in Vancouver, BC transformed a dated kitchen with natural wood cabinetry and dark countertops into a bright, functional, and timeless space designed for modern everyday living.
Completed by Pacific Living Contracting, the renovation combines updated cabinetry, quartz countertops, a spacious kitchen island, modern appliances, improved lighting, and warm natural details to create a kitchen that feels both practical and inviting.
Project Brief
The original kitchen featured traditional wood cabinetry, dark countertops, a smaller peninsula, and a darker floor. Although the room benefited from generous natural light, the combination of materials gave the kitchen a dated appearance and made the space feel visually heavier.
The renovation introduced a lighter and more cohesive design.
White cabinetry now provides a clean foundation, while light countertops reflect natural light throughout the room. Warm wood accents add contrast and prevent the space from feeling overly stark.
The result is a bright kitchen renovation in Vancouver that balances classic details with contemporary functionality.
Project Result
The completed kitchen combines elements of traditional and contemporary design.
Shaker cabinetry, light quartz countertops, natural wood accents, stainless-steel appliances, and simple hardware create a transitional aesthetic that is clean, warm, and adaptable.
Rather than following a highly specific trend, the design uses classic materials and straightforward detailing intended to remain appealing over time.
